Donald Trump will start his second term as commander-in-chief on January 20, 2025, and this is how you can get tickets to watch.

When is the Donald Trump’s second inauguration?

The President-elect will be sworn into power on Monday, January 20, 2025.

The inauguration date is set by the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.

His running mate JD Vance will also officially become the Vice President of the United States on that day.

The ceremony will start at around 12pm ET and will begin with the pair taking their oaths of office and pledging to the Constitution.

Can the public get tickets to the inauguration?

Some members of the public can attend the ceremony in-person, in Washington DC.

Attendees will need tickets to stand in front of the Capitol building and watch the ceremony live.

These tickets are free of charge but they are limited.

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies ensures a portion of these slips go to the public.

People must contact their local member of Congress to ask for one.

They usually have an allotment of tickets that they distribute to constituents, donors, or special guests.

Will the presidential inauguration be televised?

The historic ceremony will be livestreamed by The White House on January 20, 2025.

This means anyone can watch the event for free.

Also, most major news networks including Fox, ABC, and CNN will also show the inauguration live for viewers.

What events take place on Inauguration Day?

This symbolic day starts with the official swearing of oath.

The stage behind Republicans Trump and Vance will be filled with former Presidents, Congresspeople, and family members.

Trump will then bid farewell to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Other notable events on the day will include the Presidential Parade and the Liberty Inaugural Ball.

Singer Carrie Underwood and 70s group Village People have confirmed they will perform on Inauguration Day.
