T.I. AND TINY'S DAUGHTER, HEIRESS HARRIS, TALKS NEW NBC SHOW AND MORE

Heiress Harris, the youngest daughter of T.I. and Tameka Tiny Harris, recently stopped by The Big Tigger Morning Show on V103 Atlanta to talk about her latest Christmas single, her foray into acting, and what’s next for her as she balances life in the spotlight.

When asked about collaborating with Van Van on her single, “Christmas wake Up”, Heiress’s face lit up with excitement. “Well first of all, I get to have fun,” she said.

But Heiress is more than just a rising star in music. Beyond music, Harris is also making waves in acting. She recently starred in the BET Plus holiday movie The Day Before Christmas and has a role in the upcoming NBC show Grosse Pointe Garden Society, where she plays the sweet and angelic character Addie. “I play Addie… a good girl, an angel,” she said.

When it comes to memorizing lines, Heiress has developed a system that works perfectly for her.

“Sometimes I just go over them a bunch of times. When I go over them for the audition, I just automatically remember them so if someone says, ‘Hey, you’re doing this. Do [these] lines, I will remember most of them.”

“But if it’s pretty short, I will remember all of them,” she added.

While she loves acting, music remains Heiress’ first love. She wants to do an album, but her mom, Tiny, says they are not in a rush to put out anything.

“I’m working with her, so like more so grooming her and just getting her ready. I’m not like rushing to put out music, but we have done music ‘cuz everybody keeps asking for music. I’m like, ‘Dang, let me take her in the studio,’ because really, I’m just trying to train her—get her ready for, you know, this industry,” Tiny said.

Heiress also dished on what it’s like growing up with two famous parents, sharing who’s more fun.

“Uh-huh, all right, that’s a trick question. My dad—what he’ll do is take me and my friends, maybe my best friend because that’s the only one I actually hang out with, and sometimes my cousins and my niece if she’s there. He’ll take us all on an adventure. We’d get ice cream, go to the studio, and hang out there. That’s fun.”

As for her mom, Heiress didn’t hold back. “My mom, what she’ll do is say, ‘Okay, we’re going to do this today. We’re going to the park.’ But we never end up going.”
