STATESBORO, Ga. () — A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault after a shooting in Statesboro, police said on Wednesday.

Following 24 hours of investigation and a search warrant, a juvenile has been arrested and charged by Statesboro Police Department (SPD), an official said. The charges stem from a Tuesday night shooting at the Pinewood Manor apartments.

Police said that upon arrival to the scene, they found 17-year-old Nasir Johnson deceased from gunshot wounds. Two other teens, both 16-year-old males, were also injured from gunshot wounds.

One of the 16-year-olds was taken to a Savannah hospital where he is in stable condition and the other has been treated and released.

The shooting was the end result of a physical altercation.

SPD detectives and SWAT conducted a search warrant at an apartment on Brampton Avenue and arrested the 14-year-old Wednesday. He is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault, a Statesboro Police representative said.
