LONG COUNTY, Ga. () – Crews in Long County are on the scene of a brush fire at Mill Pond and Stafford Dairy roads.

Long County Capt. Chris Stock said officials remain on the scene Thursday afternoon to monitor hotspots as there is still a concern that high winds could ignite the fires.

Surrounding structures are being manned to ensure no homes are at risk should the wind intensify, Stock said.
