Noel Fielding has continued to be active on social media, sharing an array of Instagram posts, amid growing worry for his health.

Concern has been rising for the Great British Bake Off star, 51, after he abruptly pulled out of filming for his comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin due to ill health.

Despite the concern, Noel hasn’t pulled out of the spotlight completely and has been continuing to post on Instagram over the past few weeks.

Shortly before Christmas, Noel shared a snap to the photo sharing app after making headbands with his children.

The image saw him outing into the camera while modelling the homemade hair accessory.

Alongside the image, he penned: ‘Can’t be a***d to go Xmas Shopping ? Too sickly to go online ? Try making head bands with bleeding eye balls drawn onto them ! Perfect for Auntie Elsie or Uncle Frank ! x’

The comedy later took to Instagram on New Year’s day as he wrote: ‘HappY NeW YEar I HopE ITs A gOod OnE ! SpEnT WiTh The PEEps YOu LOve x’

While he also paid tribute to the late director David Lynch on Thursday, sharing a black and white snap of him with a monkey alongside a series of black hearts.

Noel played the lead role of the legendary highwayman in the multi-million-pound show which had its first series on Apple TV last spring but it was reported earlier this week that series two was axed mid-production.

A spokesperson for the comedian confirmed to MailOnline: ‘This is a private and confidential matter regarding our client’s health.

‘We are saddened by the decision to cease production but we cannot make any further comment on this matter.’

Meanwhile, a source close to the show told The Times: ‘Noel has said that he can’t film any more and so there was no choice but to stop.

‘It’s not a decision that was taken lightly and they wouldn’t have got to this extreme result if every possible solution hadn’t been exhausted.

‘People have been very concerned about Noel’s wellbeing and given him time to recover but there are also significant repercussions. Some people are furious.’

It comes after reports the cast and crew working on the show are planning to sue the show’s makers after it was axed.

While filming was set to resume for the second series after the Christmas holidays, cast and crew have received the devastating news that it would not be happening.

It has been reported that Noel didn’t return after the festive break and now more than 100 are considering a class action lawsuit against the makers of the Apple TV+ comedy.

They report that because Noel – who plays the character of Turpin – is also a co-writer and executive producer he is likely to be sued too.

The publication claims he left for France before the team learned of the shock axing news and has not been seen in public since.

A source said: ‘Axing a show halfway through production is virtually unheard of – plus there’s a mystery over just what has happened.

‘It’s left bosses of other shows he is on feeling extremely nervous.

‘Plus he’ll have to contend with any legal action. It will be a difficult few months for him.’
