A fan on TikTok posted the permit details. “Kitchen remodel and enlarging a bedroom suite by turning the current bedroom into a bathroom/lounge and re-adding the bedroom (additional 400 square feet),” the fan wrote. “Building permits are public record.”

So, what does Swift have planned? “This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day,” an insider told The New York Post.

Swift and Kelce haven’t publicly revealed plans to have a baby. However, a source told Life & Style in April 2024 that Kelce “is eager” to “start a family” with the pop queen as soon as possible — even before they tie the knot.

“Travis is eager to speed up their relationship timeline,” the source alleged. “He wants to marry Taylor right away and start a family as soon as she’s ready. Travis has been so broody that he’s told Taylor he’s open to having kids before a wedding!”

The source added that Kelce’s “fatherly instincts kick in” when he spends time with his brother’s kids. “Travis is going to be an amazing dad,” the insider continued.

Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home renovations indicate that she and Travis Kelce plan to spend more time in the Northeastern state. However, a source told Page Six in December 2024 that Swift was likely making Nashville her “home base” moving forward.

“It looks like this may be Taylor’s domestic era,” the source explained. “It also looks like Taylor is going to make Nashville more of a home base than LA or New York since it’s closer to Kansas City, and her mom, Andrea, loves [Nashville] too.”

Swift once described Nashville as “home” and now has two properties in the city. “Choosing to have my management company based in Nashville just made sense because my family is there as well as my record label,” the pop star told Time in 2014. ” … It’s hard to describe why you consider a town your home base, except that when people ask me ‘Where’s home?’ I don’t even think before I say ‘Nashville.’”

“Ideally, she and Travis will live together in one home as they start a family,” the insider continued. “This is no different than any other couple with a family. New York City is exciting, and Taylor will always consider this home. But she is growing, as is their relationship, and she feels that it is time for her to establish roots in the ground for her future.”
