Woman arrested in Hardeeville sex trafficking investigation

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. () – An arrest has been made in a sex trafficking investigation in the Lowcountry.

Glendys Polanco, 45, is accused of coordinating and conspiring to subject her victims to sex trafficking.

According to the Hardeeville Police Department, over the last few weeks, detectives investigated suspected commercial sex activities at a motel on Whyte Hardee Boulevard.

Officials said multiple subjects were identified in the investigation, including Polanco.

She was taken into custody in North Charleston and extradited to Jasper County.

Anyone with information on the ongoing investigation is urged to contact the Hareeville Police Department.
