RHONJ's Jennifer Aydin Dishes on Run-in With Margaret Josephs, Calls Show "Toxic," and Accuses Production of Giving Her a "[Villain]" Edit

Jennifer Aydin looked back on her run-in with Margaret Josephs last week as she addressed the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and spoke of her many “blessings.”

As Jennifer, 47, detailed the conversation she had with Margaret, 57, admitting their interaction was “sweet,” despite their past drama on the show, Jennifer admitted to feeling the show has gotten “toxic,” took aim at production for failing to show her in a “good light,” and reflected on her lavish lifestyle.

“I saw her at the Gucci outlet. We were ignoring each other at first. My kids were like, ‘Margaret’s here with Lexi.’ And I was there with my sister-in-law, Bill’s brother’s wife, and my four nieces and nephew and I was treating them to a shopping spree at Gucci … I had to pass them and I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous. I can’t say, ‘Hello?’ It’s New Year’s,” Jennifer recalled to Us Weekly on January 12. “So I passed her and I said ‘hello.’”

After introducing Margaret to her sister-in-law, Jennifer was surprised by her cordiality.

“She was very sweet, and so was Lexi,” Jennifer confirmed. “I was nice and then she was saying something like, ‘I don’t think we have a job, by the way. I don’t think any of us have a job. And I was like, ‘It’s become so toxic that whatever it is, it is. I respect Bravo and I respect that they know what they’re doing. If they feel like we need to regroup, more power to you.”

According to Jennifer, she signed on to RHONJ for the “platform” but doesn’t feel that she’s been done right by its production company.

“There’s a lot that Sirens cuts out, a lot of my philanthropy they’ve cut out, a lot of incidences they’ve cut out to not show me in a good light. That’s the production company. That’s not Bravo,” she explained. “But Bravo knows what they’re doing … If they want to villainize me and they want to think that about me, that is their right.”

Regardless of how she’s been seen on the show, Jennifer insisted she’s a good person.

“I like entertaining people. I’m a people person. When I meet fans, I hug them. I’m the life of the party. I love engaging with fans. I love the fun aspect of it but at the end of the day, I am a housewife for real, a mother,” she shared. “I’m tending to this huge house. I have an extended family that depends on me.”

After noting that her parents cannot read or write, which makes them rely on her for care in certain areas, Jennifer said her role on RHONJ was “supposed to be fun.”

“It seems like it’s not really going in that direction,” she noted. “[But] I’m a big believer that God protects me and my blessings are in the proof of my lifestyle and the good that I do.”
