According to a source, Lopez flattered Costner by speaking highly of his professional work.

“J.Lo expressed her love of Yellowstone, as well as her disappointment over Kevin’s departure, and he was hugely flattered,” a source told Life & Style. “She was quick to let him know she adores Horizon, too, which went a long way to stroke his ego.”

The source added that “timing” matters — and it might be the perfect time for them both. While Lopez just finished finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, Costner finalized his divorce from Christine Baumgartner in February 2024. “Plus, pals on both sides think that J.Lo and Kevin would make a super fun match,” the insider continued.

A source told Closer Online UK that Costner and Lopez bond over what they have in common. “Music is something so close to J.Lo’s heart; there’s just a special language that she can share with other musicians, so that’s a big plus,” the insider shared. “Kevin is also someone who has taken a lot of big gambles on himself, just like J.Lo has.
