Sister Wives star Kody Brown admitted that he was left feeling a little shunned after he didn’t receive an invitation to his ex-wife Christine Brown’s wedding to David Woolley.
“Really, where I’m at is Christine’s happy, and that’s great,” Kody, 55, said in a clip from an upcoming episode shared by TLC via Instagram on January 18.
He even confessed that he was suffering from FOMO, the fear of missing out.
“Everyone’s going to have a fun time. I’m going to be left out of the party and I do have FOMO,” the dad of 18 told the cameras.
Plenty of fans of the TLC series called Kody out for his remark in the comments and several of them slammed the Brown patriarch for his estrangement from several of his children.
“You used to have this big family, then you threw it away. Also it’s your ex-wife’s wedding. It’s not your place to be there. If you miss your kids so much, put your giant ego somewhere and pick up the phone and call them,” wrote one Instagram user.
Another person added, “He is BUTT HURT that no attention is on him anymore.”
Christine, 52, and her new groom, 61, officially said their vows in October 2023, but fans are just now getting to see the wedding festivities during Sister Wives season 19.
Earlier this week, the network’s official Instagram account shared a clip of Kody and his wife, Robyn Brown, discussing their feelings about not being on the guest list for Christine’s nuptials.
“I knew David and Christine were going to get married because I saw an announcement at my sister’s house,” Kody said to Robyn, 46, in one scene. “I’m really fine. I’m resolved with it.”
Kody attempted to talk more about the situation before Robyn cut him off and said, “We’re just so happy for them … We just want Christine to be happy. That’s what we want.”
Kody was previously “spiritually” married to Christine, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, but in November 2021, Christine decided to end her relationship with him.

“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on November 2, 2021. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family. With Love, Christine Brown.”
After Christine and Kody parted ways, Janelle, 55, and Meri, 54, both followed her lead. Janelle split from Kody in December 2022 with Meri following suit just one month later in December 2023.
A little over a year after Christine and Kody ended their relationship, she revealed that she was dating someone new. She announced her relationship with David in February 2023 and two months later, the David Woolley Drywall owner popped the question. They were married within six months.
“It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true,” Christine told People after her October 7, 2023, nuptials.
