She wore the Trump campaign cap, inset, in the airport after her flight, and told reporters she was looking forward to attending the rally.

Speaking to broadcasters, Ms Braverman said: “It’s an honour to be here and I’m grateful for the invitation to the inauguration.”

Tory MP Ms Braverman was later pictured with Nigel Farage, whose Reform UK party she has refused to rule out joining.

The news came after the former Attorney General sparked outrage over her comments regarding pro-Palestine protesters marching on Armistice Day.

The politician was elected as the Tory MP for Fareham, Hampshire, in May 2015.

She was then re-elected in 2017 and 2019.

She was born in Harrow and grew up in Wembley.

She studied law at Queens’ College, Cambridge, and completed a Master’s in European and French law at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
