Lady and Larder founder Rebecca Wylie ‘Boo’ Simms has tragically died

Rebecca, who was affectionately nicknamed Boo by her pals, was said to have passed away today in California.

A touching Instagram tribute from the official Lady and Larder page read: “It is with profound sadness that I share the devastating loss of my twin sister and co-founder, Boo Simms, who passed away this week due to a tragic surgery complication.

“This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely shattered.

“Boo was our magic maker, our color painter, and the brightest light I have ever known.

“We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this overwhelmingly painful time.”

The heartbreaking post was signed off by co-founder of Lady and Larder and Rebecca’s twin sister Sarah Simms Hendrix.

The pair created the flourishing business back in 2016.

Sarah also announced that their Carmel Valley store will be closed down for the foreseeable future.

Their popular Santa Monica location will remain open.

Alongside her tireless work for Lady and Larder, Rebecca was also the Senior Creative Director at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar.
