A MISSILE base with luxury underground living quarters and its own private runaway is up for sale.
Listed as the “ultimate prepper’s paradise,” the property resembles something from a disaster movie.
The home, which costs $640,878, comes with everything required in the event of a natural disaster or worst-case scenario.
All that can be seen from the outside is a large sheet of white concrete with a slope on one side.
Down the slope, is the entrance to the Atlas E. Missile silo, which appears to be guarded by a brown metal door.
At first, the inside doesn’t exactly feel very cozy, as much of it is empty space intended as shelter for vehicles or equipment.
The first few rooms contain no furnishings and are connected by a space-like tubular-shaped tunnel.
A walk through one of the tunnels then leads to the 4,000-foot Quonset hut, which is visible from the outside.
It is a short distance from the missile base’s first entrance and provides another way into the property through a white steel roll shutter.
In front of the door is a table, chairs, and barbeque to allow for some enjoyment of the outside world.
This section of the property is completely different from the cold concrete walls seen in the beginning.
The living room and kitchen are combined in one spacious area, complete with sofas, a round coffee table, and a kitchen island.
A separate room with a toilet and a shower is also accessible from the living area.
The property also comes with a flat-screen television, a washing machine, an oven, and a fridge.
Two carpeted bedrooms are nestled inside, which have tv’s on the walls, and a double bed.
Its overall design appears sleek and modern, with shades of grey and cream and minimal decor.
Best storage solutions for a nuclear attack
Storage Solutions expert Sarah Day from Pay Less for Storage has concocted a list of the best nuclear-proof storage boxes that doomsday preppers can use to safely secure valuables.
‘Nuclear-proof’ material:
- Number 1: Tungsten is the strongest and sturdy material on the list.
- Number 2: Titanium – it’s light, durable, and resistant to heat, corrosion, and chemical attacks.
- Number 3: Ceramic is incredibly heat resistant and won’t melt. However, it’s not as handy in extremely cold temperatures.
- Number 4: Stainless steel is the easiest to source out of the list.
- Number 5: Lead is excellent at withstanding radiation but melts at a relatively low temperature.
Located in Allen, near Wichita, Kansas, safety and security are guaranteed with 10 acres of the perimeter fenced off and protected by chain link and barbed wire.
As well as the generous living space, the silo comes with an airstrip which measures 1,250 feet, as reported by Luxury Property News.
The compound provides over 15,000 square feet across 23 acres of secluded land.
The hidden luxury home is available now as doomsday bunker sales continue to skyrocket in preparation for potential nuclear wars.
According to research by BlueWeave Consulting, the market for bomb and fallout shelters in America is expected to rise by $38 million over the next six years.
Doomsday preppers and average homeowners have rushed to create safe spaces decked out with beds, stockpiled food, and clean air as fears of political unrest grow.
