Alisa Roever, a socialite who is also a co-founder of a charity with Mayor Eric Adams’ brother, caused a stir when she got a ride to President Trump’s inauguration with the mayor’s security detail. This incident has been criticized as a clear example of the lack of ethics at City Hall.

As a model-turned-philanthropist, Roever found herself easily passing through the security shutdown in Washington, DC, on Monday by traveling in an SUV within the mayor’s caravan.

“Driving with security to the inauguration,” Roever bragged in a video posted on social media and viewed by The Post.

“When the roads are closed but not for us,” she captioned the boasting post, which was underscored by a flexing bicep emoji.

Footage shared by an internet influencer captured the mayor’s security detail maneuvering through the streets of the nation’s capital with lights flashing and sirens blaring, facilitating their passage through red lights.

“All the roads are closed! Mission impossible,” she wrote.

Roever, who co-founded the non-profit Angel’s Helpers with the mayor’s brother Bernard Adams, confirmed that she was picked up by his detail in the wee hours of Monday while she was in DC to attend the swearing-in at the US Capitol.

Asked why the mayor detoured to scoop her, she replied “No idea.”

Roever appeared to ride in one car, while the mayor was in a Suburban leading the caravan.

Ethics experts chided Adams’ use of his police entourage as a ride-share — especially considering Roever had no official reason to get a lift from the mayor’s detail.

“The mayor should be super careful and aware of any misuse of his security detail,” said John Kaehny, the director of Reinvent Albany, a non-profit good government group.

“The security detail is not supposed to be chauffeurs for the mayor’s friends,” said Kaehny — who stopped short of saying it violated city rules.

“It’s an error of judgment and bad look,” he added, pointing to an ethics scandal that dogged former Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Rules surrounding police details for city officials recently came under fire by the Department of Investigation, which said the NYPD had poorly defined its policies for cops and played a part in Adams’ predecessor’s protection blunders.

The city’s Conflict of Interest Board is in charge of overseeing whether or not an official used their security inappropriately, but the rules are subjective and not strictly defined.

De Blasio was fined nearly $500,000 for the misuse of his security detail during his failed presidential bid as he traveled the country while only getting 1 or 2 percentage points in the polls.

The DOI also found de Blasio had improperly ordered his detail to taxi his son Dante around the city while in office.

Richard Briffault, the former chair of the COIB, said Roever’s pick-up could have crossed lines if it came with any strings attached.

“It does seem like it is a misuse of city resources for a non-city employee,” said Briffault.

But since the added cost seemed minimal, with Adams already heading to the event, it didn’t appear to cross any legal lines on the surface.

“I wouldn’t say he clearly violated city rules,” he said, adding, “this is maybe a pattern of ethical sloppiness.”

One Democratic source was more blunt, charging the lift was an example of “blatant grift” — and slamming Adams for using “taxpayer-funded resources for his friends and political allies, while skipping town to cozy up to President Trump in a desperate bid for a pardon.”

Adams’ press secretary Kayla Malemak told The Post that the mayor was allowed to have guests tag along in his detail and that the ride did not violate any rules.

Malemak added that Roever was already heading to the event and the mayor decided to pick her up.

It’s not the first time that an incident involving Roever has raised eyebrows from ethics experts.

Angels Helpers, a non-profit that provides city youngsters access to arts and culture, came under scrutiny for auctioning off a dinner with Adams during a Hamptons fundraiser over the summer. It later pulled the prize after The Post asked about it.

City Hall reps had said the mayor would be attending Trump’s inauguration alone with his security detail after it was first revealed Adams had accepted a last-minute invite to the major political gathering.

But photos viewed by The Post showed two NYPD officials — Chief of Department John Chell and Deputy Commissioner of Operation Kaz Daughtry — standing in plainclothes in the back of the overflow room, where Adams was relegated with the likes of MMA fighter Conor McGregor and social media personalities Jake and Logan Paul.

City officials defended the top police official attendance, saying they were already down in DC assisting with security at the request of local law enforcement.
