() President Donald Trump has vowed to release a report on the unexplained drones spotted over the Northeast, which led the FAA to issue temporary drone bans in New Jersey and parts of New York.

While signing executive orders at the White House on Monday, Trump promised to investigate drone reports that began in November.

He promised a report on the drones within a day of taking office. However, when reporters questioned Trump in the Oval Office on that “Day 1 update,” he put White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles on the case.

“I would like to find out what it is and tell the people. In fact, I’d like to do that,” Trump said. He then redirected to Wiles. “Could we find out what that was, Susie? Why don’t we find out immediately?”

Trump added: “I can’t imagine it’s an enemy, or there would have been, you know, people would have gotten blown up, all of them. Maybe they were testing things. I don’t know why. They wouldn’t have said what it was. They had a lot of them flying over Bedminster, which is interesting.”

Where were drones spotted?

Unexplained drones began reportedly flying over sensitive military sites in New Jersey in mid-November. The White House and the Pentagon insisted they did not pose a threat.

Along the East Coast, drone sightings were also reported near Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, as well as in Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut. Sightings were additionally reported in California, Florida, Ohio and Minnesota.

The reports and concerns from the public prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue bans in parts of New Jersey and parts of New York. Those drone bans have been lifted, but Trump believes there are questions left unanswered.

Trump: Biden, military knew details

Last month, Trump claimed the Biden administration and the military knew what was going on with the unexplained drone sightings but wanted to keep “people in suspense.”

Later, more than 20 officials from the departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Defense went before Congress for a classified drone hearing, testifying there was no threat.
