Staff report from High Springs Police Department post

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – The High Springs Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying a shoplifting suspect from an incident that occurred today, January 22, at approximately 5:00 p.m. at Winn-Dixie in High Springs.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’1”-6’2”, with a slender or muscular build and a bald head, wearing a black jacket. He was accompanied by a white male, and they were seen leaving in a silver Honda CR-V.

When law enforcement attempted to confront the suspects, the men fled in the vehicle, heading toward Columbia County on U.S. Highway 27.
