A few of your favorite network shows have officially returned from hiatus!

ABC’s freshman hit High Potential is back with new episodes (and a second season renewal!), while NBC’s Shanola Hampton-led drama Found has finally returned. But it’s not all good news: A trio of beloved ABC programs — 9-1-1, Doctor Odyssey, and Grey’s Anatomy — won’t be back until Thursday, March 6, and CBS’ Fire Country resumes on Friday, January 31.

Speaking of CBS, what about our old pal Matlock?! The popular Kathy Bates-led legal drama has already scored a Season 2 renewal, but when will the next new installment (Episode 9: “Friends”) premiere on CBS and Paramount+? Great question.

Is Matlock New Tonight (January 23)?

Nope. Tonight’s CBS primetime lineup starts with an all-new episode of Hollywood Squares at 8:00 p.m. ET. The night concludes with reruns of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (9:00 p.m. ET), Ghosts (9:31 p.m. ET), and Matlock (Season 1, Episode 8 at 10:01 p.m. ET).

When Does Matlock Return In 2025?

Next week! Matlock officially returns Thursday, January 30 at 9:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime with Episode 9 (“Friends”).

You know it! Back in October, CBS renewed Matlock for a second season.

Matlock returns Thursday, January 30 on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime. New episodes will be available for next-day streaming for Paramount+ Essential subscribers.
