THE military vest Hamas kingpin Yahya Sinwar was wearing when he was killed has been found in rubble.

It sits draped on the chair in which he was slumped as he was shot dead by Israeli troops.

The macabre mementoes were unearthed by Ashraf Abu Taha, owner of the Gaza home where the 61-year-old mastermind of the October 7 massacre was killed.

The house in Rafah was later destroyed in an air strike.

It is now a shrine for some, who pose for photos in the chair.

And Abu Taha, 52, said: “Sinwar’s martyrdom in my home is a source of pride for me.”

His death three months ago is seen as setting a ceasefire deal in motion.

The first Israeli hostages were freed as part of the truce on Sunday.

Families are also hoping Hamas also gives an update on the status of the remaining 26 hostages due to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire.

They include the only youngsters still held in the tunnels– Ariel Bibas, five, and his brother Kfir, two.

But Israeli security officials fear the group will just give a number of how many are alive, without providing names.
