JL: And what was the traumatic brain injury that you suffered?

KG: I was in a batting cage at baseball practice. I was picking up balls and one of my buddies was hitting the ball on the other side of the cage, and it went through the net and hit me and my temple on the left side on my head.

JL: And they said that your recovery is doing well and you’ve been cleared to return.

KG: Yes, sir. I got cleared in October.

JL: Have you started taking swings at all?

KG: Yes, sir. I started about two months ago.

JL: Okay. And for you being here at the national championship game. it’s your dream? Who are some of the players that you’ve met? What’s been some of the best experiences so far?

KG: Probably Will Howard and Jack Sawyer. Really nice. Two guys that are really good and really just nice.
