According to an incident report, Hamilton said three suspects entered his home and attempted to take a safe with guns in it and multiple designer handbags.
ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr.’s home was burglarized early Friday morning, according to an incident report from the Roswell Police Department.
According to the report, police responded to a burglary in progress call at the home in Roswell at 12:18 a.m.
The report states that officers from the Roswell, Milton and Alpharetta Police Departments responded and established a perimeter around the home. According to the report, a neighbor told police the suspects ran out the back door and toward the woods before the officers arrived.
K-9s were requested and searched through the woods behind the home, which led investigators to the Ansley Golf Club pathways.
According to the report, once the K-9 reached the path, the suspects’ scents could no longer be tracked because they possibly drove away in a vehicle.
During the search, the report says officers found a safe with guns in it and multiple luxury handbags near the fence in the backyard of the home.
Hamilton told police that there were three suspects, wearing all black, who entered his home through the back door at 12:15 a.m. and left with the safe containing the guns and other expensive items around 12:22 a.m., the report added.
The report also states Hamilton told police the burglary was captured on his Ring camera system.
Roswell Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating further.
