Kristen Doute opened up about her current relationships with former besties Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney while appearing on a podcast with her fiancé, Luke Broderick, on Tuesday.

One year after Stassi, 36, confirmed on Jeff Lewis‘ radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, that she and Kristen, 41, were “not close” and only text “every now and then,” Kristen revealed the last time the two of them spoke while also confirming her status with Katie, 38, and sharing which of her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars she’s closest to.

“You were asked recently about your friendship with Stassi, and I thought you really maturely said, ‘Look, we don’t really talk, but she was an important part of my life and, you know, so I value that, but we’re just in different places,’” executive producer Alex Baskin told Kristen on the January 21 episode of Bravo’s Hot Mic, via The Daily Dish.

According to Kristen, she is still friendly with Stassi but hasn’t spoken to her since before she suffered a miscarriage of her first pregnancy in 2023.

“The last time I talked to her … I’ll say like a year ago when we had our pregnancy last, she was texting me pretty often and being just very loving,” she said. “The way that I think she just naturally is, especially because we were in each other’s lives very close for so long.”

“[But] as of today,” she continued, “we haven’t spoken since I think her anniversary [in September]. I texted her, like a happy anniversary thing. And she was like, ‘Oh, you introduced [me and Beau Clark].’”

While Kristen and Stassi don’t talk much anymore, Kristen confirmed there’s “no hate” between them.

“There’s no, ‘We’re not friends anymore,’ it’s just — people grow apart,” she explained. “She has two kids. She has a huge, taxing career that keeps her very busy. She has a husband, and she has a different group of friends.”

As for Katie, Kristen admitted that while they too are not super close, she’s closer to Katie than she is to Stassi.

“Are we best friends the way that we were? No,” Kristen stated. “We are in very different places in our lives. It’s kind of the same thing. I’m closer with Katie, but it’s OK for people to just grow apart without there being some big dramatic breakup, strangely enough.”

Kristen’s comments come just months after she appeared on the Balancing Act podcast, where she confirmed that Stassi did not reach out to her following her and Luke’s September 2024 engagement.

“I have not heard from Stassi,” she revealed. “[And] I’m okay with that. I have a lot of love for her and for her family, and I think I’ve said that a million times. That’s never gonna change for me. We have a lot of history, and she used to be like a sister to me, so I just wish her the best.”
