AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Gala season is starting here tonight in Augusta, with the Augusta Symphony’s 7th Annual Gala celebrating its 70th anniversary season.

The theme was A Night at the Opera and at the Miller Theater and featured performances by experienced Opera and Broadway performers… Indra Thomas, Timothi Williams, Gennard Lombardozzi, Jeremiah Sanders, and Sarah Lawrence.

“We have five world-renowned opera singers who are performing tonight, and we are thrilled to have them in Augusta, Georgia. So, we’re thrilled to have a wonderful night at the Opera,” said Pamela Dorminey Uros, Co-chair.

The Gala plays a crucial role in sustaining its artistic operations and outreach.

“One thing that surprises a lot of people when I think about Symphony is just the orchestra. We have a magnificent orchestra under the lead of Maestro Meyer, but it’s also what the Symphony does to impact the entire community,” said Victoria Bedder, Co-chair.
