Rapper DJ Unk, best known for his hits “Walk It Out” and “2 Step,” died after suffering a heart attack, his wife has revealed.

The Atlanta-based musician died in his sleep on Friday, his wife, Sherkita Long-Platt confirmed to TMZ. He was 43.

Long-Platt debunked unfounded rumors that her husband died from an overdose, telling the outlet that he didn’t do drugs.

In 2009, Unk was hospitalized for a heart attack, which he told XXL was brought on by nonstop touring, poor eating habits, drinking and smoking.

Long-Platt issued a statement on Facebook just hours after DJ Unk’s death.

“Please respect me and my family. I just lost my husband and my kids just lost their father,” she wrote on Jan. 24. “Our life will never be the same. I LOVE YOU ANTHONY FOREVER.”

Born Anthony Leonard Platt, Unk died earlier that day, according to a statement from Korey “Big Oomp” Roberson, who founded the record label Big Oomp Records, which signed Unk in 2000.

“It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of a true ATL legend, Anthony Platt better known as ‘DJ Unk,’” Roberson told The Post in a statement on behalf of the Big Oomp Records family.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the countless fans who were touched by his artistry and spirit.”

The rapper rose to fame in the mid-2000s with his debut album, “Beat’n Down Yo Block!”

DJ Unk put his name on the map when his two breakout singles from the 2006 record — “Walk It Out” and “2 Step — found major success.

“Walk It Out” soared into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and spurred a remix featuring André 3000 and Jim Jones, followed by “2 Step.”

“The beat was so jammin’ that you just wanted to get on it,” André 3000 said in a 2023 interview about their 2007 collaboration of “Walk It Out.”

He went on to release his sophomore album, “2econd Season,” in 2008, which peaked at No. 15 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

A candlelight vigil in honor of the rapper took place Sunday night in his Atlanta neighborhood.
