SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The City of Savannah needs your voice! A new initiative called ‘Savannah GPS’ is placing residents in charge of the future. This will affect the city’s future to improve safety, economic growth, and quality of life.

City leaders are rolling out ‘Savannah GPS’ – a bold new effort to map out the city’s future – and they’re turning residents for directions. From online surveys to community meetings – this is your chance to help shape the future of our city.

‘Savannah GPS’ is a new strategic planning initiative designed to guide the city’s future.
It focuses on 6 key goals, such as public safety, community development, economic opportunity, and improving infrastructure.

The city will host seven community engagement meetings, starting with a virtual kickoff this Saturday at 10 a.m. In-person meetings will take place in each district from February 3rd to February 10th giving residents a chance to connect with council members and share their ideas for a safer, more prosperous Savannah.

The city manager, Jay Melder, has emphasized the importance of public participation saying, “With your help, we will make savannah an even better place to live, work, play, and prosper.”

You can share your input through an online survey, which includes open-ended prompts for personalized feedback. For more information, click here. To participate in the survey, click here.
