Trump supporters praised Leavitt during the historic briefing as she’s the youngest person to ever hold her position.

“Masterclass by the new Press secretary Karoline Leavitt for Trump administration.. Wonderful stuff,” one X user wrote.

“She has just eviscerated the mainstream media.”

Another wrote, “A huge breath of fresh air. Karoline Leavitt killing it at her first press briefing.”

Leavitt announced independent journalists including podcasters and influencers will have a spot in the White House briefing room moving forward.

“Our team will work diligently to restore the press passes of the 440 journalists whose passes were wrongly revoked by the previous administration,” she announced.

“We’re also opening up this briefing room to new media voices.

“We welcome independent journalists, podcasters, social media influencers, and content creators.”

She said the new media members can apply for press passes on the White House’s website now.

Leavitt started the briefing by boasting about Trump’s actions in his first few days in the White House.

“President Trump is back and the golden age of America has most definitely begun,” Leavitt said, donning a cross necklace as she spoke about deporting illegal aliens.

“He is focused on launching the largest mass deportation operation in American history of illegal criminals,” she added.

The press conference came a day after the Trump administration announced a new measure to freeze federal grant funding.

Leavitt said the decision was clear, firing off that the “only uncertainty in this room is amongst the media.”

She emphasized the push won’t affect “individual assistance,” but instead target diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
