Shocking details have come to light about the alcohol-fueled party a Florida elementary school principal held at her house that was attended by more than 100 underage students.

Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, the 47-year-old principal of Roosevelt Elementary School, was arrested following the raucous ‘white lie’ party on January 19, alongside third-grade teacher Karly Anderson, 45.

The two face charges of child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, with Hill-Brodigan also facing a criminal charge for hosting an open house party.

Cocoa Beach police wrote in an affidavit obtained by Fox 35 they responded to Hill-Brodigan’s home at around 9pm, after receiving numerous complaints about noise, alcohol and narcotics use.

Some neighbors even claimed that children were walking through their yards, swearing at the homeowners.

When the police arrived, they found over 100 minors in matching t-shirts, with some students telling police that ‘alcohol was ready and available in multiple red/white coolers inside the residence,’ PEOPLE reports. 

They claimed the party was advertised on Snapchat, and said ‘parties like this happen once or twice a month’ at the home.

Hill-Brodigan initially denied being involved in the events at her home or any other ‘underaged ragers,’ police said.

But students claimed she asked some of them to help make preparations for the party, and ‘seemed OK with what was happening.’

By the time the police arrived, they said they found a boy on the front lawn ‘vomiting and shaking,’ and requiring treatment from the Brevard County Fire Rescue 

‘During this time the homeowner, Hill-Brodigan, was seen by Officers in the driveway of her residence turning off the outside lights and entering her residence, causing BCFR to use auxiliary lighting on their vehicle to treat the juvenile,’ the CBPD previously said in a press release. 

Meanwhile, a clearly intoxicated Anderson – the teacher – allegedly began yelling at paramedics for putting the boy ‘in a machine,’ apparently referring to the patrol vehicle.

An officer eventually had to tell her to go away so he could take care of the boy, the affidavit says.

It also notes that before the police even arrived at the home, one officer called Hill-Brodigan, who claimed she was down the street and would return home to ‘handle the issue.’

The students, however, claimed Hill-Brodigan – whom they knew was the elementary school principal – was inside the house while the party was going on.

At the time she wrote that she was ‘over the moon excited to be the new principal’ and claimed to have served the students and parents of Brevard County for the last 23 years

She reportedly told one of her sons to stop the event, but her son ignored her and she allegedly took no further action to stop the party.

As the party then continued, fights broke out, including when one student even allegedly slapped another for punching a third student, PEOPLE reports. 

At another point, a boy wearing a mask was seen pointing a Beretta pistol at someone recording a video, the affidavit says. But police said they found no juveniles with firearms at the party.

Still, at least two juveniles were arrested.

According to a police report, officers began conducting traffic control around the home, and a sergeant stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign and allegedly almost hit his vehicle.

The underage driver agreed to take a Breathalyzer test, which showed she had a 0.118 blood alcohol content – nearly twice the legal limit for drivers who are 21 and over.

Another girl in the passenger seat was also busted for marijuana possession.

Hill-Brodigan became principal of the elementary school on May 2, 2024, according to the school’s website. 

At the time she wrote that she was ‘over the moon excited to be the new principal’ and claimed to have served the students and parents of Brevard County for the last 23 years. 

‘Students, families, and staff are very close to my heart, I really enjoy what I do,’ she said. 

The principal has since posted a $3,500 bond and was released Saturday morning, while Anderson was released on a $3,000 bond. 

They are both on leave pending an investigation, with Brevard Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell saying he was ‘very troubled’ by the allegations.

‘We hold our leaders to the highest of standards, and if these allegations are true, it’s a complete failure in leadership and [a] violation of our trust,’ he told Fox 35.

‘The district is cooperating fully with police as they investigate this matter, and will strive to provide families with full transparency.’
