Find out which one of the Duchess of Sussex’s other projects has reportedly been put on hold after her Netflix show was pushed back.

It seems Meghan Markle can’t keep her name out of the headlines for all the wrong reasons. After starting off 2025 with her return to Instagram in what fans thought would be the start of big year debuting her new Netflix series and launching her lifestyle brand, the Duchess of Sussex has instead recieved some pretty bad press and her show has been shelved.

Now, there’s news that another major project the Sussex Squad was looking forward to won’t be happening, at least for a while now, either.

Meghan has been dealing with wave of criticism for weeks

On Jan. 10, Meghan and Harry were seen with Mayor Victor M. Gordo at the Pasadena Convention Center, which has been used as temporary shelter for people impacted by the LA wildfires.

Because the pair reportedly only showed up 17 minutes, their visit was viewed as more of a “photo op” and chance to drum up good PR more than actually lending a helping hand with other volunteers. They also raised eyebrows for viewing the town of Altadena detroyed by the fires.

Actor Justine Bateman immediately called out the couple’s behavior. Taking to X, she wrote: “Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive ‘photo op’ they achieved. They are ‘touring the damage’? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

A wave of criticism followed from several commentators, royal watchers, other celebrites, and news outlets questioning what they were doing there and why they were allowed to tour areas some of the town’s residents have been allowed back to see yet.

Before the dust completely settled on that story, a lengthy feature about the duke and duchess was published in Vanity Fair. The publication talked to several people who said they “needed therapy” after working with Meghan because of her brutal treatment towards people.

The story is reminiscent of one a few months back in which The Hollywood Reporter spoke to members of the “Sussex Survivors Club” who called the duchess a “dictator in high heels” and labeled her a “demon boss” who has “psycho moments.”

Due to the wildfires, Meghan’s Netflix cooking and gardening show, which was initally supposed to debut on Jan. 15, was pushed back until March 4. But that’s not the only one of the duchess’s big projects that has been put on the backburner for a while.

In February 2024, Meghan signed a deal with Lemonada Media for a new podcast series after Spotify canceled Archetypes. According to Hello! Magazine, like her Netflix show, Meghan’s podcast has been moved back due to the LA fires.

The outlet wrote: “HELLO! understands that a series of new podcast episodes from Meghan has also been pushed back as a result.”

Fans will have to stayed tuned to find out when the release date for her podcast will be.
