Jimmy Kimmel Jokes RFK Jr. “Lost The Job At Jamba Juice” For Making “Stewart Little Smoothies” After His Cousin Claims He’d Blend Baby Chicks

Jimmy Kimmel mercilessly ridiculed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. following his initial day of Senate confirmation hearings for the role of President Donald Trump’s health and human services secretary.

On last night’s (Jan. 29) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel not only roasted RFK Jr. for the questions other senators asked during his hearing, but also played a clip from his cousin Caroline Kennedy’s message urging the Senate not to confirm him. In her message, Caroline recalls that RFK Jr. “enjoyed showing off how he’d put baby chickens and mice in a blender to feed to his hawks.”

After playing the clip, Kimmel quipped, “Well, that explains why he lost the job at Jamba Juice, I guess. He put baby chickens and mice in a blender to feed his hawks. And guess what? Not one of the 27 Senators on the finance committee asked him about it today. Not one!”

He exclaimed, “We’ve reached a point where these cabinet picks are so nutty, the idea that one of them was making Stewart Little smoothies doesn’t even come up!”

Instead, RFK Jr. was pressed about his views about abortion and vaccines, two subjects Kimmel accused him of “conveniently” evolving his stance on since “pledging allegiance to the Cantaloupe in Chief.”

Describing his hearing as “rocky, to say the least,” Kimmel took a jab at RFK Jr.’s voice, joking that he sounded “like he swallowed a bag of rocks.” And of course, he couldn’t resist a little Curb Your Enthusiasm bit after spotting RFK Jr.’s wife, Curb actress Cheryl Hines, seated at yesterday’s hearing.

Kimmel said Hines “sat quietly behind her husband as he attempted to rewrite the story of his life,” then played footage from RFK Jr. being grilled at the hearing, which eventually included some doctored background music of Curb‘s iconic bumbling theme song.

As the track played, Live zoomed in on Hines blinking slowly behind Kennedy as she listened to him deliver answers to a senator. At one point, she even appeared to anxiously bite her lip as he spoke about the different reactions amongst racial groups to the COVID-19 virus and the likelihood of Lyme disease as a “militarily engineered bioweapon.”

“Yeah. We gotta get to the bottom of that,” Kimmel dryly joked.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
