CHICAGO (WGN) The Chicago Bulls are trading star shooting guard Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-team trade, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Charania reports the San Antonio Spurs are getting point guards De’Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin, while the Kings are getting LaVine, guard/forward Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks and three second round picks.

Chicago will receive Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter and will also get their own 2025 draft pick back from San Antonio, according to Charania.

LaVine, a two-time NBA All-Star with Chicago and a former NBA Slam Dunk Competition champion with the Minnesota Timberwolves, is averaging 21.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season.

The trade rumors surrounding LaVine go back to a Dec. 17 report in The Athletic. According to Tony Jones and Sam Amick, sources told them the Denver Nuggets were making a significant push to acquire a premium wing scorer, and LaVine was at the top of their list.

He now heads to Sacramento where he reunites with Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan.

According to Spotrac, LaVine is owed $43,031,940 this year, $45,999,660 in 2025-26 and $48,967,380 in 2026-27 before he becomes an unrestricted free agent at the age of 32 in 2027-28.

This trade comes one day after a shocking trade that saw the Dallas Mavericks trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis.

The NBA trade deadline is 2 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, Feb. 6.
