UPDATE: Missing and endangered Champaign teenager found safe

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Just hours after a Champaign teenager was reported missing and endangered, Police say she was found safe.

“We are thankful for the community’s quick actions to share this post,” Champaign Police wrote on Facebook.


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Champaign Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager who is considered endangered.

The department announced that 16-year-old Jacelynn Socie was reported missing Monday morning.

Socie was described as a 5’2 tall, 125-pound Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Krebs and Sharp Drives and was wearing a green shirt and green pants.

Anyone who sees Socie is asked to call Champaign Police at 217-351-4545.
