The second season of The Real Housewives of New York City reboot is almost complete, and the final part of the reunion will air soon. Now, though, reunion host Andy Cohen is coming under fire for some of his questions directed at Jessel Taank in the first part of the reunion. 

Specifically, some fans are fed up with him asking Real Housewives what work they’ve had done. Now, he’s responding and explaining why he asks those questions at reunions.

Longtime fans of Bravo know that Andy has always hosted the reunions for the shows on the network. Though most viewers like his hosting style, he has been called out several times throughout the years. Sometimes, people feel he lets his favorite cast members get off too easily. And some people, like Brandi Glanville, have also held him accountable for asking the plastic surgery questions. 

Part one of the RHONY reunion aired recently, and all of the ladies had things to atone for. However, when it came to Jessel, Andy asked, “You look like an airbrushed version of yourself. What has happened?” She responded, “I don’t know. I think I cut my hair and lost some weight. I mean, was I heinous before?”

She then admitted, “I get Botox, and I get filler. I’ve always done that, okay? And I take care of my skin, lots of water. And I lost some weight.” Andy then pressed for more and asked about her teeth. Jessel replied, “I got veneers.”

The exchange continued as he confirmed, “So now, it is just the sprinkle of Botox, the fillers, and the veneers.”

Now, there has been a bit of backlash as some viewers of the show don’t feel it’s appropriate for him to ask these questions. One person on X made a post that read, “@Andy the millions of women who watch these franchises are tired of you asking women ‘what work they had done’. This isn’t 2009 anymore and women can do whatever they want to their face/bodies. It’s time to retire this question. It’s rude and does 0 for the viewers #RHONY.”

Andy action quoted the post and responded with his reasoning. He said, “‘What work have you done’ remains at the top of the list of viewer questions every season, every franchise. The HW have unabashedly let us into their beauty regimes since day one; It’s a big part of the series DNA.”

Still, many agree that it’s not necessary as people watch the reunions to see how the casts can come together after having drama throughout the season. 

Fans can watch part two of the reunion tonight, February 4, at 9/8c on Bravo.
