The tot’s father Etienne Ancelet had turned up at the Jelly Beings Early Learning Centre in Sydney, Australia, to collect his daughter – only to be told he had never dropped her off, according to 7News.

He ran outside to discover his baby was still strapped in her seat in the car.

Paramedics scrambled to reach Olivia, but she tragically died at the scene.

Roy Gomes, who lives near the kids centre, said he found out about the tragic incident after hearing Olivia’s father’s harrowing cries.

He ran to the scene and was one of the first responders who gave the tot CPR before paramedics arrived.

Gomes said: “It all happened so quick; he was screaming, the poor guy, he kept screaming ‘I killed my daughter’.

“I didn’t sleep much last night – I can see the little baby’s face all night.

“She was just floppy, no life.

“It’s really shattering.”

I was told my baby had tragically died moments after birth… only to find she was ALIVE 20 years later in most horrific way possible

In footage captured at the horrific scene, Ancelet could be heard repeatedly screaming “kill me, kill me” and “f*** I can’t process this” as he sat in the back of the ambulance.

The heartbroken dad was taken to hospital suffering from shock.

Dad Ancelet and his partner Kim Visconti said their daughter was a “sweet and beautiful baby,” adding that she was the light of their lives.

The grieving couple told news.com.au: “We are humbled and grateful for the time we had her.

“We are devastated by what has unfolded.

“We will always cherish our time with our beautiful girl. She was loved by all that knew her.

“It is an unimaginable time of sorrow for us. We do not wish this on any parent.”

The young family had celebrated Olivia turning one on December 3.

Cops are still working to understand the timeline of events leading up to Olivia being found in the car.

Superintendent Christine McDonald said inquiries currently suggest the tot was left inside the car for an “extended period of time,” with temperatures at a scorching 30C on Tuesday.

A report is to be prepared for the coroner.
