Love It or List It is returning to HGTV after two years, and it will see Page Turner step in to replace designer Hilary Farr.

Back in December, the home design expert announced her decision to leave the popular series after 17 seasons, spanning over 12 years.

Now it has been confirmed that Fix My Flip star Turner will be joining realtor David Visentin to co-host the popular show.

The news was shared on the HGTV Instagram page with a caption which read: ‘#LoveItOrListIt is back this summer with a new star! 

Introducing Page Turner (@pageturnerunlimited), a well-known personality recognized for her competitive nature and exceptional home makeovers. She is stepping into the role of designer to go up against the iconic real estate agent David Visentin (@davidvisentin_official).

In an exciting announcement to her followers, Turner expressed her joy by proclaiming: ‘‼️‼️FAMILY‼️‼️ OMGGGGG!! Family Family Family!! I can FINALLY share that… I’m back!! I’m so grateful! Thank you GOD!! (sic)’.

But the star isn’t a new face for HGTV viewers after co-creating and hosting Fix My Flip.

She has also appeared on other HGTV shows including Rock the Block, Battle on the Mountain and Flip or Flop Nashville.

The upcoming season, scheduled to premiere in Summer 2025, will showcase Turner’s renovation skills as she aims to persuade homeowners to invest in revamping their current residences rather than opting for new properties recommended by Visentin.

A description for the TV star on HGTV’s website read: ‘Page is known for her competitive edge and the stunning home renovations she creates on Fix My Flip and Rock the Block. She’s a mother of three who’s all about hard work. She’s also a fitness guru.’

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that eight hour-long episodes will air in the upcoming season. 

When announcing her decision to leave the show, Farr claimed that it had simply been time to take on new challenges.

She told People: ‘It’s time for me to move on and meet new challenges. I told everyone I’m done. 

‘I realized that everything that I am as a woman, which is [that I] look for challenges, look for inspiration, look for new ideas, be excited about all the possibilities that are out there, had really needed to bloom and to find their way.’

The Designing Christmas actress said she is grateful for the community she has been a part of since launching the DIY show in 2008.

‘It’s got me through hard times. It’s got the audiences through hard times. It has evolved into a mainstay of people’s lives and it’s been incredibly gratifying,’ she explained to the outlet. 

During her 19 years on the show, Hilary has gone through a series of serious life changes and challenges. 

‘This show has encompassed a divorce, cancer, my son getting married, my son having three children, my long-term relationship breaking up. In fact, my partner of all those years developed cancer,’ she revealed.

The veteran host said when she broke the news to Visentin he was in disbelief.

‘He didn’t believe me. He said, “Oh, you say that,”‘ she recalled.

She describes the real estate agent as family, ‘We are who we are [in real life] on that show,’ she claimed, adding, ‘Think of your brother at his most obnoxious and annoying, that’s David.’

She credits her longtime pal with sticking with her through good times and bad. 

‘I was working all the way through cancer and he was always there,’ she said.

Her treatment included three lumpectomies and radiation. She is now in remission.

But having the disease made the star ‘very aware of really wanting to take joy out of every day, and that’s one of the reasons that it was time to leave Love It or List It, because it was becoming too easy… 

‘I was in a rut. It’s been so many years. You want to feel that every day is something different and special and grasp for those challenges. That’s really what I think drives me, anyway.’

She said that David ‘had his little rough patches too here and there, and we were there for each other. Yeah, that’s a biggie. I don’t know that that’s going to change.’
