While Craig Conover remains silent about his breakup with Paige DeSorbo after only admitting he was “shocked” about their breakup, the latter is speaking her truth. In a new episode of her Giggly Squad podcast with co-host Hannah Berner in February, the Summer House star revealed her and Craig’s real breakup timeline.
Paige is speaking out about her split from the Southern Charm star as she deals with nasty rumors that include her allegedly cheating on Craig and reportedly dating a mystery man just a month after she broke up with the pillow maker.
The reality TV star wanted to dispel any horrible rumors about herself, with no help from her ex. In fact, she detailed that the two had broken up a month before she announced the news. That means, Craig carried on lying about their relationship status.
Craig Conover Faked Being With Paige DeSorbo After She Revealed Their Real Breakup Timeline
Before Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Craig Conover in late December 2024, there were reports that the two had already broken up, and were waiting to announce their breakup on their Bravo shows. However, during a casting party for the premiere of Southern Charm Season 10 on December 9, 2024, Craig dispelled those rumors.
In an interview with E! News, Craig shared, “I don’t know where that came from, because we’re together, like, every week. So, no, Paige and I are not broken up. We’re still together.”
When asked about the rumor that he and Paige were waiting for their respective shows to announce their split, he also denied that, too. “Why would we do that?! Remember back in high school when people would gossip? Like, I got most dramatic in high school. I’m a huge gossiper, but just don’t take everything so seriously.”
Interestingly, it seems that Craig faked being with Paige at that time. On the February 4 episode of Giggly Squad, Paige admitted that she and Craig broke up over Thanksgiving weekend—a month before she announced their breakup on her podcast.
“When I announced my breakup on Giggly Squad, I thought really hard about how I was going to say it, the words I was going to use, because of this exact thing. I didn’t want to do a back-and-forth. But since no one’s sticking up for me on the other side…perpetuating even more rumors, I will say that Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend. Okay? That’s at the end of November.”
Paige admitted that she wanted to break her silence on rumors that she had broken up with Craig over the holidays and that she had “blindsided” him. When she announced their split, they had already broken up for a month.
Paige also revealed that she allowed Craig to deal with their split “in his own way,” even if that meant saying they were together for the time being.
“Craig did press for Southern Charm, did whatever he needed to do, acting as if we were still together, and that was fine: I said that he could do that [if] he was processing [the split] in his own way,” she shared.
Paige DeSorbo Slammed Reports She Cheated On Craig, And Put Dating Rumors To Rest
During the same episode of Giggly Squad, Paige wanted to make things clear that she did not cheat on Craig. “I never, in the 3 years that I dated my ex-boyfriend, I never physically cheated on him, emotionally cheated on him. Can you mentally cheat on him? I don’t know, but I didn’t.”
Just days after Paige announced their split, she was seen attending a Philadelphia Eagles football game with a mystery man. According to celebrity gossip Instagram account Deuxmoi, it was heavily believed that Paige was with a man named Joe D’Ameilo. In fact, other sources alleged that the Summer House star and the senior vice president for football marketing for Klutch Sports, were “getting serious.”
However, in her most recent podcast episode, Paige slammed all of these reports, claiming that she was very much single.
“Let me say this here and now, I did not move on with some guy. I am single. I don’t have a new boyfriend. I did not cheat on my ex-boyfriend.”
Additionally, Paige stated that she only confirmed their breakup news later in December when she saw that Craig was “presenting himself as single.”
“And I said, ‘Oh, here we go, We’re ready to announce.’ I then texted [him] whilst he was on this trip and said I’m going to say something on Giggly Squad and we can both start moving forward. It’s been a full month now. My text went unanswered,'” Paige spilled.
Paige’s Summer House Stars Slammed Craig For Not Putting An End To Those Cheating Allegations
On her podcast, Paige mentioned that “no one’s sticking up for me on the other side,” meaning that Craig allowed rumors of Paige cheating on him to go on. Why wasn’t he addressing these rumors and putting an end to them?
Even her Summer House co-stars believed it was bizarre that Craig would not come out with a statement in which he would defend his ex from rumors that she was unfaithful.
Craig unfollowed Paige on Instagram. She continues to follow her ex, however.
During an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Summer House star Amanda Batula slammed Craig for remaining silent while Paige had to defend herself.
“To not clear up any of the cheating rumors is insanity. Insanity.”
Amanda continued, “That was still your girlfriend of three years. Like, stand up for her a little bit. He’s been silent.”
While Amanda defended Paige, Craig’s Southern Charm co-star Austen Kroll made bold statements on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in which he stated that rumors Paige was dating someone already weren’t rumors at all.
“I don’t think that those are rumors. I think that they’ve been substantiated,” Austen shared. “You know, he didn’t know for a minute, but yeah. I think that he’s fully come to terms with that. That’s not a rumor.”
On the WWHL Instagram account, Paige slammed Austen’s comments. “Ahhh yes a man I haven’t spoken To in 6 months knows exactly what I’m doing.”
