JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A suspect was arrested after a woman was found dead inside a Jacksonville apartment complex Thursday. 

Officers responded to the Reserve at Waters apartment complex at 6100 Arlington Expressway around noon after reports of a domestic dispute. 

When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive woman inside an apartment. She was later pronounced dead. 

JSO said they have a “potential suspect” in custody. As of Thursday evening, the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and her relationship to the suspect are still unknown. 

“There is some type of violence that was committed towards her,” JSO Sgt. Lloyd said. “So we do suspect foul play.” 

The woman was in her 40s, Lloyd added.
