The Real Housewives of New York City is reportedly “in limbo” ahead of its potential 16th season.

Following what insiders have described as a “boring” season 15, which concluded with a bang as Ubah Hassan, 41, feuded with Brynn Whitfield, 39, who accused her castmate of weaponizing her past experience with sexual assault before admitting she may not have known about the ordeal, a source claims no one has been asked back yet.

“No one in the cast has been asked back yet or been given a contract for season 16,” an insider told OK! Magazine on February 5.

While none of the season 15 women, who included Sai De Silva, 44, Erin Lichy, 37, Jessel Taank, 45, Jenna Lyons, 56, and Racquel Chevremont, 53, have been offered a contract for the new episodes, Rebecca Minkoff confirmed she would not be continuing with the series in an Instagram post on Tuesday after sources claimed she was too “boring” for the series.

“2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever,” she explained. “The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK.”

“I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter,” she added.

According to the OK! Magazine source, the “entire season was boring,” which is why the cast was so “laser-focused on Brynn’s comment” in the finale.

“No one really had any story about their lives or anything personal, so clinging to Brynn claiming she told Ubah she was sexually assaulted, only to change it to it ‘may not have clocked,’ implying she may not have heard her, gave them an in for drama,” they added.

Although Bravo has not yet confirmed the 16th season of The Real Housewives of New York City, a casting call was put out on Instagram at the end of last month, which seems to confirm that new ladies are wanted.

“It’s that time… come and get your apple,” Shed Casting captioned a January 27 post.
