MUNCIE, Ind. (WXIN) An Indiana man was arrested shortly after his 18th birthday for allegedly threatening to shoot and kill a pregnant woman and her unborn baby.

Peyton A. Manning, 18, was arrested early Thursday morning and booked into the Delaware County Jail on one count of forcible felony intimidation. The arrest stems from threatening videos allegedly sent by Manning to a young pregnant woman via Instagram.

Muncie police were called late Wednesday night to a local home to take a harassment report. A woman who was 12 weeks pregnant told police about an ongoing argument with her soon-to-be baby’s father.

The woman told officers the man was hanging out at a hotel with friends and said they had been threatening her with violence. One friend later identified as Manning had reportedly gone on Instagram Live and made comments about killing her baby while holding a gun up to his face.

“I don’t give a f— if your baby dies or not,” Manning reportedly said. “I’ll kill that baby too.”

When asked by police if she thought the threats were something Manning would actually do, the woman said yes. Court documents show police also obtained video recordings of Manning threatening to kill the woman and holding a gun in his waistband.

Manning and his friends were tracked down to an area Quality Inn and he was brought in for questioning. The 18-year-old reportedly claimed the pregnant woman had been threatening him before he sent the videos.

“Peyton originally denied saying anything, and then asked officers why we expected him not to say anything after he was threatened,” court docs read. “Peyton asked me if I thought he would kill a child, and I responded that based on what he said in the video, I would have any reason to believe he would be capable of doing so.”

Manning then told police he did, in fact, make the threats but said he did not mean it.

Given the alleged admission, police then took Manning into custody. He was later booked into the Delaware County Jail on one count of forcible intimidation a Level 6 felony with a $5,000 bond.

Online court records have not yet been updated to reflect an initial hearing or trial date in Manning’s case. Jail records show Manning was released on bond Thursday.

Manning turned 18 on Feb. 5 and was born in 2007. This means he was born on the same day Indianapolis football legend Peyton Manning led the Colts to a victory in Super Bowl XLI.
