Imani Hakim is officially a new mom!

The actress, known for her role as Tonya Rock on Everybody Hates Chris, and her fiancé, Chris Naoki Lee, have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee.

In a touching post, Chris shared the news, sharing a photo of him and Imani  holding their newborn’s hand.

He began, “Today’s my birthday. Of all the birthdays I’ve ever had, this one represents something so special and so unique and so universal. An unbroken kind of love has been awakened this week.”

He continued, “Seeing my life partner, my fiancé, my rock go through one of the most inspiring yet grueling experiences has shown me what she’s willing to do for that special kind of love. These emotions are hard to put into words, and even harder to not show on our sleeve. Because after 42 hours of labor, after many months of anticipation, after being showered by love and support from all of those around us, he is finally here.”

The couple’s baby boy was born on On 2/2/25, weighed just shy of 7lbs and measured 21 inches. “Our beautiful boy is here to make his world premiere. Please welcome to the stage, Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee. But you can call him.. Kaz Marley,” Chris added.

Chris wrapped up his message with gratitude, saying, “Thank you to everyone for the calls, texts, and check in’s. Rest up, young King 👑 . Cause your mom and dad ain’t going to sleep for a looong time.”

The pair surprised fans with their pregnancy announcement on December 20 through a video shared on Instagram. In the clip, Imani cradled her growing bump while sitting with Chris and their dog, Kobe, as the camera panned slowly. The caption simply read, “World premiere 2025.”
