KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — In an effort to ward off any lingering “Tayvoodoo”, Philadelphia radio station 94.5 PST is taking down all Taylor Swift tracks before Super Bowl LIX.

A release from the station claims that 94.5 is “pressing pause on all things Taylor Swift.” The announcement came after a Swift fan and a Philly advertising agency spent the week trolling each other with ads in KC and Philly.

“Taylor turned her back on us, so we kind of have to turn our back on her,” said Joe Hyer, 94.5 PST’s Brand Manager on-air during Thursday morning’s Chris & the Crew Broadcast.

“In 2023 Taylor came to Lincoln Financial Field and called Philly home — even saying her lyrics in ‘Gold Rush’ [which refer to an “Eagles shirt”] were about the football team (and not the band). It kinda hurts that she’s turned her back on us.”

Swift is a native of Pennsylvania, and mentioned several times before dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce that she was an avid Eagles fan. Now, the radio station is feeling betrayed and from now until Sunday night, Swifties will have to tune into another station.

“‘Both of Us’ know that Eagles green should be more your ‘Style’, Taylor, but ‘Everything has Changed’ since your ‘Love Story’ started on that ‘Cruel Summer’ night with the guy who wears ‘Red’, and since we can’t just ‘Shake It Off’ we’ll have to say goodbye to your music until the ‘End Game,’ the station wrote in an Instagram post, which has been met with both positive and negative reaction by fans online.

The station confirmed that Swift’s music would be back on the air Monday morning, regardless of who wins the big game.
