You May Have Already Seen Some Of The Love Is Blind Season 8 Cast On TV Before

The pods will be opening again on Love Is Blind very soon. The reality show is set to release its next installment, Season 8, on February 14th, 2025, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Though the first set of episodes has yet to drop, you may already be familiar with some of the cast. Where, exactly, have we seen them before? It turns out that some of the Season 8 cast previously appeared in a Season 7 episode of the show.

Some Of The Season 8 Cast Was At The Season 7 Reunion

The new season of the show is set in Minnesota, in the Twin Cities, Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The entirety of the season has already been filmed, and though we ourselves aren’t familiar with the contestants yet, you may have spotted some of them at the end of Season 7. That’s right, a few select members of the Season 8 cast were invited to attend the Season 7 reunion.

The Love Is Blind reunions have gotten into the habit of inviting past cast members back to join for the episode, often offering their insights now that they themselves have completed the dating experiment. For the first time, however, we got a glimpse of future cast members. When the cameras panned to the audience, we were introduced to three Season 8 contestants: Alex, Brittany, and Joey.

Though we didn’t get to hear much from the Season 8 cast members, Alex did tell host Vanessa Lachey that dating in his city had previously been a challenge:

It’s such a small community. It’s not a major city, but it’s also not a small town, so you kind of see the same people over and over.

Some Of The Season 8 Cast Might Know Each Other In Real Life

Looking back at Alex’s words now, it’s possible he might be hinting at a huge plot point for Season 8 — that some of the cast members might have known each other before the experiment. In the trailer for the upcoming season, which was only recently released by Netflix, we hear a woman’s voiceover speaking cryptically about her in-person reveal:

When the doors opened, that was not the first time that he saw me.

Though we don’t get any more context to the mystery woman’s words, it seems to hint at the fact that her date from the pods already knew what she looked like, and possibly even who she was. Could this become a major plot point for this season, that the dating pool in Minneapolis is so small that people find themselves running into old ghosts again?

Only time will tell if this appears to be the case. We can’t be sure whether old flames will be rekindled in the pods, but what we can be sure of is that there will be no shortage of Love Is Blind to come. On top of international spin-offs, of which the franchise already has more than ten, the original US version of the show has already been picked up through Season 10.

For those eager to learn more about Season 8, Netflix has also released a short video of all the hopeful singles introducing themselves, allowing viewers to get acquainted with them before the pods even open. The cast members answer questions like the ones you’d find on dating app profiles, such as what gives them the “ick” and how their loved ones would describe them. It’s a charming look into some of the cast members’ quirks and idiosyncrasies.
