Canadian singer Bryan Adams’ Perth concert has been cancelled due to a major sewer blockage, with fans left outside the RAC arena on Sunday evening.

The burst water main on Wellington Street was caused by a ‘fatberg’ – a blockage of fat, grease and rags – which cut off water supplies to the stadium ahead of the Grammy award-winner’s So Happy It Hurts Tour.

“Acting on public health advice from Department of Health, the Bryan Adams concert at RAC Arena this evening (9 February 2025) was postponed due to the risk of sewage backing up within the venue toilets,” said WA’s Water Corporation in a statement on Facebook.

The Water Corporation is warning the public to avoid pooled wastewater on Wellington Street as crews work to remove the blockage, and to clean and dry any footwear that comes into contact with the water.

In a statement on their website, the arena said that all existing ticketholders will be notified of an update as soon as possible and need not take any action at this point in time.

Bryan Adams is the singer-songwriter of hit albums including Summer of ’69, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, and Please Forgive Me, with a career spanning four decades.
