AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Super Bowl Sunday brings many people together to have a good time, and I asked them what their favorite part of the celebration is.

“I just like to get together, not so much to watch the game but just be together with family and friends,” said Sonya Callaway Pippen, Superbowl Prep.

Some people were out picking up last-minute items for their Super Bowl Party and had special requests from their guests.

“We like to fellowship. I mean, get together, laughing, joking, having a good time,” said Gwen Rouse, Superbowl Prep. “They called me and told me don’t forget the meatballs. So, we’re getting meatballs. We’re going to get wings. “

A local sports bar, Tank An Taps, has many specials going on all day. They brought in extra staff to ensure things run smoothly because they expect tonight to be busy.

“We do have some specials with Bud Light. We have $4 pints, $8 mugs or boots, and then we also have beer towers for any domestic beer,” said Caitlyn Wood, Bartender. “Wings and chicken tenders for the table, it’s all sharable. We are expecting it to be busy. I’m super excited for it. I hope it because we were busy for the National Championship.”

If you are looking for a spot to hang out during or after the Superbowl—Tank an Taps will stay open until 2 am because they serve food and they will also have karaoke.

“Not a lot of places are open on Sundays, but you know this place is, and it’s a good atmosphere,” said Megan Penner, Football Fan.

So, whether you enjoy football or not, there are many ways to enjoy traditions and spend time with the people around you.
