After playing college football at the University of Michigan, Brandon Graham was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 13th pick in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. The athlete has enjoyed a long career with the same team as he has always been a defensive force on the field.
Over the years, the linebacker has created a highlight reel of memorable plays for the Birds but perhaps none more memorable than his strip sack against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 when he stripped the ball from Tom Brady in the fourth quarter. It was then recovered by Derek Barnett and the Eagles went on to win the game 41–33.
Since then, fans have wanted to know about BG’s life away from the gridiron. Here’s more on his wife, Carlyne Graham, and how many children they have.
Brandon and Carlyne are college sweethearts but they met before that
Carlyne (née Williams) was born on Feb. 5, 1986. She attended Crockett Vocational/Technical Center in Detroit, which is the same high school Brandon attended. In fact, the two met when they were in school together in 2002 but were not romantically involved then.
“It ultimately didn’t happen until I was in college when I had the nerve to call her,” Brandon recalled.
They began dating for several years and tied the knot in 2014.
What Carlyne does for a living
Caryne attended Lane College and served in the United States Army Reserves while earning her degrees in sociology and criminal justice. She then attended Loyola University of Chicago from 2008 to 2011, where she received her master’s degree in social work and a master’s of jurisprudence with a concentration in child and family law.
Carlyne also completed a Lactation Consultant program at Drexel University College of Medicine from August 2022 to May 2023, focusing on maternal and child health.
Today, she is a licensed Psychotherapist at The Postpartum Stress Center, per her LinkedIn.
How many children they have
The Grahams have two children together–a daughter named Emerson and a son, Bryson.
The family spent the first decade of Brandon’s career living in their home state of Michigan during the offseason. But after the birth of their son in 2019, they decided to make the City of Brotherly Love their permanent residence.
Carlyne stresses that her football star husband is just a regular dad at home saying: “He takes the kids to school. He enjoys taking them to swim class and folding clothes. We have a normal, lowkey, functioning family dynamic.”
Brandon also puts the kids to bed and tucks them in every night.
“That’s his favorite thing to do,” Calyne shared. “He reads to them, prays with them, and then goes to review film … We’re just like every other family … when he’s done [with football], that’s what our life is going to be like. I don’t want there to be any surprises when we transition to what I consider the ‘real world.’”
