() President Donald Trump says he feels he is not getting enough details about the attempts on his life from last year and is now telling the Secret Service to give him “every bit of information” they have, according to the New York Post.

In particular, Trump wants to know why one of the suspects and six cell phones, and the other had foreign apps.

“No more excuses,” Trump was quoted by the New York Post as saying. “No more holding back because of Biden… I’m entitled to know. And they held it back long enough.”

In a statement to , the Secret Service said, “As it relates to a request by the president, any information held by the Secret Service will be provided to the president, without exception.”

Trump assassination attempts

On July 13, 2024, authorities say Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot at Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks was killed by the Secret Service.

Butler County Fire Chief Corey Comperatore died and two other people were injured. Trump was struck in the ear by gunfire.

The Secret Service’s response was heavily criticized in the wake of the attempt, with Ronald Rowe, the agency’s acting director, previously calling it a “failure.”

According to a Congressional task force investigating the shooting, Crooks had encrypted messaging accounts.

Then, in September, at Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, investigators say a man named Ryan Routh shot at him. A Secret Service agent checking the perimeter says he saw Routh pointing a rifle through a fence. Six cell phones were found in his car which is what Trump was referencing as information to be unsealed.

More information about Routh is expected to come out in September when he goes to trial.
