Kendrick Lamar took center stage as the headline performer for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, held on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

While his performance has everyone talking, it’s his personal life that has fans buzzing.

Lamar, who is engaged to his long-time partner Whitney Alford, is a proud dad to two children. The couple’s first child, daughter Uzi, was born on July 26, 2019, and their second, a son named Enoch, arrived in 2022.

While Kendrick has long been private about his family life, his fans have gotten a few glimpses into their world, thanks to both his music and Alford’s occasional Instagram posts.

In 2022, Kendrick confirmed his role as a father of two with the release of his album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The album’s cover art showcased an intimate moment: Kendrick holding Uzi while looking off to the side, while Whitney breastfed baby Enoch in the background.

Just recently, Uzi and Enoch made a memorable appearance in the music video for their dad’s track “Not Like Us,” where the young ones were seen dancing alongside their parents.

Whitney has also shared glimpses into their family life, most recently posting a series of photos in November 2023 that showcased how much their children have grown. The post read, “Me and them… Always, in all ways. The greatest and toughest job I’ve ever been tasked with. Love my babies.”

Kendrick, too, has spoken about how parenthood has reshaped his worldview. In a rare interview with W Magazine, he spoke about how his children have allowed him to remove his ego and embrace unconditional love.

“My children allowed me, in their development as human beings beginning to walk and talk, to remove my ego,” he said. “Will I allow them to be themselves? Will I allow them to journey off in the world and experience life for what they know of? That’s love, to me. And when I look at that, I try to apply it with how I express myself, how I look at my career, and how I meet other individuals.”
