Bannon was seen smiling ahead of his guilty plea after he arrived to court in Manhattan on Tuesday morning.

When the judge asked him if he wished to plead guilty, he responded, “Uh… Yes, your honor.”

In exchange for pleading guilty to one first-degree count of scheming to defraud, Bannon will avoid prison time for the plot.

The charges stem from Bannon’s false promises to Trump supporters that their donations would go toward building a wall on the US-Mexico border in the We Build the Wall campaign, launched in 2018.

The fundraiser raised over $20 million – but prosecutors said the money only went into the pockets of Bannon and other organizers of the fake campaign.

Bannon seemed unbothered by his plea in court on Tuesday when the judge asked him if he had anything to say to the victims of his scheme.

“Nobody lost money,” Bannon replied, according to the New York Daily News.

He then added that he felt like a million dollars.

Bannon faced up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Under his agreement with prosecutors, Bannon cannot work for a charity or not-for-profit group in New York state.

He also can’t hold assets for any charitable organizations.
