Possible abduction attempt under investigation in Wichita, Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police are investigating a 14-year-old girl’s possible attempted abduction. Police said it happened Monday afternoon around 3:40 around the 2500 block of W. Esthner, near Meridian and just south of Harry Street.

According to Wichita police, the girl was walking home when a maroon sedan pulled up beside her, and a passenger in the vehicle made inappropriate comments and attempted to coerce her into the car.

The suspect is described as the following:

  • Male  
  • Medium complexion  
  • Approximately 6 feet tall  
  • Medium muscular build  
  • Dark curly hair  
  • Short black beard
