A SICK teacher has been convicted of having sex with a special needs student and exploiting him for cash.

Imagine Kay Ewer, 28, began a twisted relationship with a 16-year-old boy and even ordered him to bring a gun to school in a bid to shoot her colleague, a court heard.

During the disturbing relationship, Ewer, a paraprofessional from Colorado, manipulated the boy for money by trying to convince him that he was “the one”, prosecutors said.

She is said to have engaged in “frequent sexual encounters” that lasted for several weeks.

The court also heard how Ewer sent thousands of explicit texts to the students referring to their sexual encounters.

Some of the messages also saw her ordering the boy to bring a gun to the school and shoot a fellow teacher in the leg.

Ewer even introduced the teenager to deadly drugs like fentanyl, the New York Post reports.

However, she was caught when another school teacher discovered “inappropriate writing” on the students’ worksheets before alerting the cops.

When authorities began investigating, they uncovered evidence of a sick relationship that included drugs, guns and alcohol.

Ewer pleaded guilty last November to sexual assault on a child and contributed to the delinquency of a minor.

She was sentenced to four years in jail in January.

She also faces at least 10 years of sexual offender probation, which could turn into a life sentence, according to The New York Post.

The boy’s mother told the court how Ewer exploited her position of trust and  “preyed on” her son.

She said: “[We] believed she genuinely cared for him, all while exploiting him for money and manipulating him into thinking he was ‘the one’.

“What makes this even more painful is that I trusted the defendant.”

Ewer apologized to her victim’s family in court as she stood before the judge, according to the DA’s office.

“I’m really sorry; this will never happen again,” she said, as per the office.

It comes after a math teacher accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student was caught after cops found scratch marks on the boy’s back.

Hailey Clifton-Carmack, 26, from Missouri, pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with her student.

She admitted to sleeping with the teenager after wearing “tight leggings and low-cut tops to show off her body”, court documents reveal.

Allegations first surfaced after a classmate showed pictures of scratch marks on the victim’s body to authorities.

Clifton-Carmack denied having any kind of relationship with any students outside of school – and fled to her family home in Texas.

But she was arrested by Garden Ridge Police Department in January on charges of sexual contact with a student, statutory rape in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and child molestation.

Cops found text messages on Clifton-Carmack’s phone that appeared to show her alleged relationship with the minor.

The sordid affair even took place during school hours – and fellow students were allegedly used as “lookouts”, court documents reveal.
