Lisa Rinna revealed Harry Hamlin threatened to “divorce” her if she joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she claimed Bethenny Frankel inadvertently convinced him otherwise. The alum also addressed fan “hate,” and she shared that people are “begging” her to return.

Before her exit in season 12, many vocal fans expressed their hate for Lisa, who was seen as the pot-stirrer. But after she left, some viewers claimed the show became less exciting. She recently called RHOBH ‘the f**king Titanic.’

“They’re begging me to come back. They’re pleading with me,” said Lisa on the Him and Her podcast, via @alltruetea on Instagram. “But you know, [it’s] too late, f**kers.”

“The negativity f**ks you up, and it can’t not,” she continued. “It is inhuman. It still affects me. I don’t like it. It’s mean. It gives people permission to be mean, and I don’t like that part.”

Lisa said she got more “hate” in her last year of RHOBH than in her “entire life.”

Lisa also addressed how her journey with Real Housewives began.

“I knew that reality was really the place that was starting to happen,” she explained. “I was like, hmm this is interesting. And then I started to see what the girls were doing on Housewives and how they were benefiting from it with their brands. And I thought, oh maybe this is a good idea.”

“So I kind of floated the idea. They picked it up. They came to me and said, ‘Do you want to do the show?’ I went to [my husband] Harry and said, ‘I think this might be a good idea. What do you think?’” Lisa added. “He goes, ‘Absolutely not. I will divorce you if you do that show.’”

“I did say that,” Harry confirmed. “I said I have my divorce lawyer on speed dial, which I do. I still have it.”

But Lisa later showed Harry the success of Bethenny’s Skinny Girl brand.

“All I said was, ‘Okay, all I want you to do is just check out this person [Bethenny] and see what her business is like … [Harry and I] had a QVC business at the time,” said Lisa. “Three days later, he comes back in the room and says, ‘Well I’ve been thinking…’”

“I said, ‘If Bethenny Frankel can build a business like that, we can too,’” recalled Harry. “‘Maybe this is the way to do it.’”
