JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they say shot and injured a man in his 20’s outside of the Sulzbacher Center homeless shelter in Downtown on January 19.

JSO says the man ran away after the shooting. They are asking that the public look at surveillance photos of the man and contact police if they recognize him.

If you know who this man is, you can call 1-866-845-TIPS to contact CrimeStoppers, remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward. You can also call JSO’s non-emergency line at 904-630-0500.

At the time of the shooting, JSO said the victim was in critical condition at a local hospital, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

“Hopefully this is the time we can come together and get some answers, make this community safer for everybody,” JSO Sgt. Dishman said at the scene. “That’s really why we’re here. We’re hoping somebody can come forward with whatever they might have seen.”
